Brent crude trading at $96.35/bbl

Crude oil prices rose Rs3 to Rs7,795 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand. On MCX, crude oil for October delivery traded higher by Rs3 or 0.04 per cent at Rs7,795 per barrel in 10,595 lots. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil was up by 0.04 per cent at $93.64 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.21 per cent higher at $96.35 per barrel in New York.
